Free AI card grading: what BAO measures
Photographic pre-grading
BAO Grade estimates visible card condition from front and back photos. It reports centering, corners, edges and surface evidence. Results help you inspect a card before deciding whether to submit it to a professional grading service.
Centering and perspective
Centering compares opposing printed borders on the physical card. BAO rectifies the card plane to reduce camera-angle distortion. Uncertain boundaries lower measurement confidence. An off-angle photograph is not proof of an off-center print.
Corners, edges and surface
Visible whitening, chips and corroborated wear can affect the estimate. Glare, blur, sleeves and slabs can hide or mimic damage. Straight-on photographs cannot rule out dents or fine scratches. Use the capture guide and directional lighting when requested.
Interpreting a BAO Grade
The provisional scale runs from 1 to 10. Look at confidence, subgrades and the evidence alongside the number. BAO is not calibrated to reproduce PSA, TAG, CGC, BGS or SGC grades and does not certify authenticity.
