BAO Grade privacy and model development
Your account and photographs
BAO stores your account, scan reports, collection and original grading photographs privately. These records provide your reports across devices. Account sessions use HttpOnly cookies.
Required model-development use
Free grading is funded by data collection for model improvement. After you accept the updated free-service terms, every new grading scan enters a private model-development review queue. BAO may store, reproduce, annotate and use licensed photographs and submitted feedback for training and evaluation. This license does not transfer ownership of your photographs, physical card or card artwork. Predictions and unverified collector grades are not ground-truth labels. Training requires rights, independent annotations and validation checks.
Earlier scans and account controls
Earlier scans are not retroactively enrolled under the new terms. Existing users must accept the updated terms before submitting new scans. Export or delete your account and stored photographs using account controls. Account deletion removes pending learning candidates and stored originals; it does not promise to reverse effects of data already used in trained models. Guided-capture retention controls concern separate diagnostic copies and do not exempt submitted grading scans from model-development use.
Operational records
Short-lived hashed identifiers and quota counts protect the service from abuse. Camera preview frames are not saved. Submit a privacy question through the account issue control.
