Free Card Grading Online with BAO

BAO Grade provides free online card pre-grading from front and back photographs. Create a free account, upload both sides of the card and review a condition estimate organized around centering, corners, edges and surface. There is no professional encapsulation or mailed submission involved; the result is a photographic estimate designed to help you inspect a card before spending money on professional grading.

How free card grading works

Start with the original front and back camera images. BAO checks capture quality, attempts to normalize the card geometry and evaluates the condition evidence that is visible in those photographs. The report provides an overall BAO estimate plus category-level evidence. If the image is too weak for a useful measurement, the better outcome may be a recapture instruction rather than a forced score.

What you get from a free BAO scan

The report is designed to answer more than “what number did I get?” You can review the areas that influenced the result, see the centering assessment when the printed boundaries are reliable, and use capture guidance when glare, blur or perspective limits the analysis. Your account also lets you revisit saved grading reports and card photographs according to the service’s current account controls.

Why the service is free

BAO uses a free-service model that supports reviewed model development under the terms you accept for future submitted photographs and feedback. That license does not transfer ownership of your physical card or the underlying card artwork. Predictions are not automatically treated as ground-truth training labels; candidate data can require review and validation before affecting a released model.

Free does not mean an official professional grade

A BAO result is a photographic pre-grade, not a certificate from PSA, CGC, BGS, TAG, SGC or another professional grading company. Photo analysis also cannot reveal every dent, alteration, texture change or authenticity issue. The free report is most useful for collection triage, condition inspection and deciding whether a card deserves closer physical review or a paid professional submission.

Cards BAO can help you inspect

The workflow is intended for trading cards such as Pokémon and other collectible cards where front and back photographs show the physical edges and condition clearly. Foil, textured, borderless and slabbed cards can require extra care because reflections, unusual printed frames and holder scratches may reduce confidence. When possible, photograph raw cards outside removable sleeves and on a contrasting background.
